TRANSPORT SWABS
Medical devices consisting of a swab (available in different materials) and a polypropylene test tube, of dimensions Ø12x150mm, containing a transport medium that allows the survival of microorganisms from the sampling site to the place where clinical-diagnostic analyses will be performed.
The Medical Devices are produced in accordance with the GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice), certified as Medical Devices class IIa sterile, non-pyrogenic, non-cytotoxic and, on request, certified according to the standard CLSI M40-A2 (Quality Control of Microbiological Transport Systems) , 2nd Edition). The Devices are packaged in peel-packs that preserve their sterility (SAL 10-6).

AMIES
Sterile swabs with transport medium clear Amies gel for the collection and transport of many microorganisms such as Neisseria Gonorrhoeae (up to 24 hours), Streptococcus pneumoniae, Shigella flexneri, Salmonella typhi, Staphylococcus aureus, Bordetella pertossi and Fusobacterium up to 48-72 hours.
AMIES WITH CHARCOAL
Sterile swabs with Amies gel transport medium with charcoal for the collection and transport of microorganisms.
The charcoal presence neutralizes fatty acids that are toxic to microorganisms.
This medium is particularly advantageous for the transport of fastidious bacteria such as Bordetella pertussis.
DOUBLE AMIES
Sterile swabs with a double quantity of Amies agar gel transport medium, in order to allow a better inoculation and/or dilution of the bacteriological sample.
STUART
Sterile swabs with clear Stuart transport medium gel for the collection and transport of many microorganisms such as Neisseria Gonorrhoeae, Trichomonas vaginalis, Haemophilus influenzae, Streptococcus pyogenes, Corynebacterum diphtheriae, enterobacteria and bacteria of the upper respiratory tract.
STUART WITH CHARCOAL
Sterile swabs with Stuart gel transport medium with charcoal, for collection and transport of microorganisms. The charcoal presence neutralizes fatty acids that are toxic to microorganisms.
CARY BLAIR
Sterile swabs with Cary Blair gel transport medium for the collection and transport of Gram-negative bacteria such as Salmonella, Shigella, Vibrio and Campylobacter.
VIRUS
Sterile swabs with Virus liquid transport medium soaked into a sponge placed on the bottom of a polypropylene tube sized Ø12x150mm. The particular medium composition prevents the bacteria and fungi growth.
CHLAMYDIA
Sterile swabs with Chlamydia liquid transport medium soaked into a sponge placed on the bottom of a polypropylene tube sized Ø12x150mm. The particular medium composition prevents the bacteria and fungi growth.
